The District Chief Executive for Assin South District in the Central Region, Hon Felicia Ntrakwah Amissah has cut sod for the construction of a 3 unit classrooms block on Tuesday, 15th March 2022 at Assin Anyinabrim Catholic J.H.S in the district.
The new classroom block, to be completed within four (4) months, will have various ancillary facilities including office, staff common room and stores to facilitate teaching and learning.
Hon. Ntrakwah Amissah said education was the priority of the Assembly, adding that the new classroom block formed part of the projects earmarked for this year to improve education infrastructure to ensure quality education in the District.
The project is being funded by the Coastal Development Authority ( CODA).
The DCE at the sod- cutting ceremony entreated parents to enroll their children in the school, adding that giving them quality education was greatest investment in their lives.
She also advised the pupils to study hard to justify the investment government and their parents were making in them.
Hon Felicia Ntrakwah Amissah said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, prioritised education and had initiated several policies to not only to improve teaching and learning but also to make education more attractive and affordable to all.
She therefore, urged the contractor to deliver the project on schedule for the benefit of pupils of the school.
Hon Felicia Ntrakwah Amissah entreated the community members to support with labor as the District Assembly provides all materials and logistics for the construction. She therefore, encouraged the community members to assist and collaborate with the assembly to ensure expeditious work and assured them of the standard and modernized edifice of the project.
At the ceremony, the Chiefs and elders commended Hon Felicia Ntrakwah Amissah for her unprecedented contributions towards the speedy development of their community and Assin South District.
