NPP PARTY AND THE WAY FORWARD
*It my wish every NPP folk in Assin South Constituency read this to the last end*
I quiet remember during the Constituency delegate conference, the polling station executives ventilated their grievances to the regional executives and were particular about processes to guide the next Presidential Candidate for the party. Therefore Campaigning for Presidential Candidate should be banned for now as we look forward to campaign for National, Regional and Constituency executives.
The reason why I am calling for the Presidential Candidate campaign to be banned is to prevent party separation since each party folk has his own candidate and this in a way will goes to affect the President Performance. Those on the Presidential race entrusted with assignment will not concentrate but will shift to campaign and CEO'S, MP'S, MINISTER'S will also leave their duties to ensure that their Candidate seed through.
We are not to forget that the Performance of the President, His Excellency Nana Addo will serve as a message and if it's positive will even sell the next Presidential Candidate hence what we need now is a great advocate and champion.
One other issue I am unhappy about is the polling station register which was given to every polling station by the General Secretary. Not all polling station secretary's or in-charge followed the intended procedure but they rather stayed in their various homes and used the 2019 final voters register to do the registration, hence Secretary's ending up writing Ghost names and the sad part is most of the voters who have their names in the register have not signed and their telephone numbers were not added.
JOHN BOADU, the Adwenkese3, who is the General Secretary of the Party asked all constituency Secretary's to copy all names in the polling station to the constituency register within two weeks and give the register back to the polling station Secretary's to continue with the registration since most voters couldn't register between the mass registration period, in view of this, the time of collection was extended but nothing of that sort has been seen. I dont know whether the problem is from our General Secretary or the latter.
It is well known to everybody that national annual delegate conference is going to be held in Ashanti region next month for the purpose of accountability on the side of the national executives of the party.
I am very much aware that the proposal for the amendment of the party constitution has been received, we pray the content of it goes to benefit the party and it governing. I continue to pray that it spells out required Articles and Clauses and provide the best guiding legitimate since same will be used for the party internal elections.
*CHALLENGES TO THE NATIONAL PATRIOTIC PARTY DEVELOPMENT (On election 2024,NPP victory is dependent on these key factors)*
1. CPP and PNC even believes in our party but very much concerned about members *UNITY* and that I think can never be left out. Please NPP party cannot be underrated, we need unity. Money does not win election. If money can solely win election, John Agyekum Kuffour, wouldn't have become President in 2001 because NDC was the party in power and had all the resources than us. Same as 2016 where His Excellency Nana Addo won, NDC was in power by then and had all the resources, we can even make reference to 2000 election.
To the President of the Republic, the Vice President, Chief of Staff, Council of Elders, Members of Parliament, All Sector Ministers, MMDA'S, CEO'S, Directors of Institutions, Members of the office of the Presidency, Founders of various organisations, National executives, Regional executives, Constituency executives, Polling station executives and all party folks, the only key that wins an election is *UNITY* within a political party and this is what I seek to achieve primarily in this write up. Division is a negative drive to opposition and I will beseech all party members not to encourage it in the first place. *And I repeat, Any constituency that preach divison among party members is a loss constituency in coming election 2024* Let us all reinforce *unity* whether we got separated in the previous election or not because our own GENERAL SECRETARY and the PRESIDENT of the REPUBLIC has even stressed on that.
2. Another key factor of which NPP victory is dependent on in election 2024 is *the kind of leaders we are going to elect starting from polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives, regional executives, national executives, Member of Parliament and Flagbearer of the Party. The leaders we are going to elect will tell our success in the 2024 election. Electing these leaders is taking medicine to cure your sickness, hence we got to ensure that the medicine taken can fight our sickness or brouhaha but we don't take in medicine that will rather upsurge the sickness, this when done destruct a hard time decision making.
3. Furthermore, another key factor for Victory 2024 is the inter-relation between the various structures of the party and the positive effect on the party folks expecially the *GRASSROOTS*. If the shared resources and possibilities of the party doesn't reach the *GRASSROOTS*, then the party is gradually entering the opposition zone. Immediately the *GRASSROOTS* takes up an act of anger then the party goes divided and a big destruction set in. If all are thirsty and the water is shared just among the top officials whiles the *GRASSROOTS* are left out of the shared water, then they will also be peeved and eventually overreact which will totally affect the party's progress. Top officials are to ensure that all resources and opportunities are shared fairly and equitably and have make positive impact on party folks expecially *THE GRASSROOTS*.
4. Adding up, another key factor for victory is the Policies, programs and projects undertaken and put up by the government through institutions, organisations, MP'S, MMDA'S, Sector MInisters and other Party officials should be monitored. It must be well checked that it is rightfully implemented to benefit the nation than officials rather engaging in corrupt act and embezzlement and eventually leaving the project at a undesirable state.
5. The Communication base of a ruling party party cannot be override. NPP communicators starting from the polling station to the national level should be given a workshop training either quarterly or annually on how to project programs, developmental project's and policies of the government and also be briefed on new developments or projects undertaken and implemented by the government. Some cash allowances should be allocated to each communicator every quarter for airtime on radio and TV stations.
*These communicators should be linked with the party true callers* and should be trained extensively on how to disseminate and communicate information at any point in time. They should be trained on how to champion the party as well as the government and this should be our utmost concern.
The party should set up communication team at every constituency and region to fast track projections of the government initiatives,policies and programs. At least MP'S and MMDA'S should have at least three solid communicators to project their works so that at the absence of one there is a replacement.
6. Lastly, *BACKBITTING* is another key that will determine the success of party Victory in 2024. Some party folks always talking maliciously in the absence of a fellow. Party members have gone tired of backbitting within ourselves. This character assassination , scandalmorgering or revilement wouldn't augur well in a group. Slandering someone in their absence should be a no go area.
Party folks say things which are untrue about a fellow just to *receive good face* from MP'S, MMDA'S and Party executives. This act takes party to opposition hence should be a letdown on our side.
*I would like to also use this platform to urge all MP'S, MMDA'S and Party executives to probe well into matters they here from party folks concerning them or others before they react because not all are true*
