ASSIN SOUTH MP VISITS THE FAMILY OF THE PREGNANT WOMAN WHO DIED IN A TRICYCLE ACCIDENT DUE TO THE POOR STATE OF THE ROADS.
The MP for Assin South Constituency, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Education has visited and commiserated with the family of the 44 years old, Abena Araba, a pregnant woman who died in a fatal tricycle accident at Assin Fawomanye in the Assin South District.
The deceased was rushing to the hospital to seek medical attention after she slipped and fell in a bathhouse but the drivers refused to convey her due to the poor nature of the road network, hence resorted to a tricycle.
Midway through their journey, the tricycle fell off a bridge made out of coconut trunks leading to her death.
The MP, immediately after hearing the tragic loss of the deceased sent his entourage which includes the former presiding member of the Assin South District Assembly, Mr. Emmanuel J.K Boadi, and the Assembly member of the area Mr. Mutalib Abdul Migyimah to console the family and made some cash donations since he (MP) was outside the country then.
Soon after he arrived in Ghana he also visited them to have first-hand information about the sad incident. He comforts the bereaved family with the strength, comfort, and love of the almighty in these difficult times and assured them of his unwavering support in the final funeral arrangements.
Nonetheless, he went with the Deputy Central Regional Engineer of Feeder Roads, Mr. Gariba to conduct a feasibility analysis on the roads in order to give them a facelift. According to the MP, construction work will begin in two weeks to ensure the road becomes motorable for road users since the government has made funds ready for the project.
He further assured the resident of his readiness to assist them with other developmental projects such as school, CHPS compound, and lighting system to relieve them from their predicaments.
Meanwhile, the Asafohene of Assin Fawomanye, Nana Kwame Braimah, who spoke on behalf of the Chief of the area, the Atua 'I', enthusiastically heaped praises on the MP for the love shown them and his commitment to embark on a series of developmental projects in the area.
He used the opportunity to appeal to him to stick to all the promises he has made.
